(clip 2:.. idle to say that taking the ORF, especially Ö1, an example could See the Podcast service of Ö1 and of Bayern2Radio ).

Baba Yaga

In Bavaria the clocks run at their own pace, one is not a little slower than elsewhere, but basically the bad. Halloween is celebrated with us a week later, because we respect and honor our high holy days.

The clocks run on their own in Bavaria rhythm: A bit slower than elsewhere. But actually, it's not that bad. Halloween is celebrated a week later here because we have to respect and honor the ecclesiastical holidays.

the days and nights are now gray and misty, the icy wind blows and rustles the falling leaves. No owl cries move would require more nature and fewer cars and houses. Now and then you can feel it but yet, the old Baba Yaga, and most people think it was only the falling leaves or the wind in the walls.

In the meantime, the days and nights are getting gray and Foggie, an ice-cold wind blows and the falling leaves rustle. No owls cry, but there needs to be more nature and less cars and houses. However you can feel her, the old Baba Yaga's presence now and then and most of the people think that it was just the falling leaves or the wind in the wall.

On one of those sad and frightening day she visited me and taught me the old Dyeing!

She came to visit me on one of these miserable and frightening days and taught me the old art of dyeing!

The small Färbekurs - The small dyeing course

pure and innocent, this strand of the fire sacrifice. Carefully stacked the wood and waited until dawn ........

This skein, pure and innocent, which sacrificed to the fire. The wood carefully layered and waiting until the twilight ....

.... by muttering the magic words and becoming louder and louder to repeat:

.... in order to murmur the magic words and repeated with crescendo:

has three times the yellow cat meows
Yes, and once the hedgehog quieckt.
The Harpy cries: 'tis time.
revolves around the boiler and turn around;
throw the poison in his throat.
Kröte, die im kalten Stein
Tag und Nächte, drei mal neun,
zähen Schleim im Schlaf gegoren,
soll zuerst im Kessel schmoren!

Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.
Thrice and once the hedge-pig whin'd.
Harpier cries; 'tis time, 'tis time.
Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison'd entrails throw.
Toad that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Swelt'red venom sleeping got
Boil thou first i' th' charmed pot.

Now with all
mutters, "the chorus" so to speak:

murmuring And now all together, so to say "the chorus":

mixing it with all mixed on the swirl!
fire, burn, and cauldron bubble!

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Sumpf'ger snake's tail and head
frying and cooking in the magic pot:
Molchesaug and Unkenzehe,
dog's mouth and head of the crow,
viscous juice of henbane,
Eidechsbein and down from Kauz:
Mächt´ger Zauber würzt die Brühe,
Höllenbrei im Kessel glühe!

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting.
Lizard's leg, and howlet's wing -
For a charm of pow'rful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Und wieder alle gemeinsam:

And again, all together:

mixing it with all mixed on the swirl!
fire, burn, and cauldron bubble!

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Wolfe Zahn and crest of the dragon,
witches mummy, palate and pharynx
shark from the sharp throat;
hemlock root of gloomy reason

Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witch's mummy, maw and gulf
Of the salt-sea shark ravin'd,
Root of hemlock digg'd i 'th' dark ....

now it is too awful and is enough for a skein of wool the magic. Only once our common refrain:

And now it has become too formidable and the magic is enough of a skein of wool. And together we sing once more our refrain:

mixing it with all mixed on the swirl!
fire, burning, and boilers, walle!

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Cool it with baboon,
the charm is firm and good!
(Macbeth, William Shakespeare)

Cool it with a baboon's blood, Then the charm is
firm and good.
(Macbeth, William Shakespeare)

Really, I do this every day! The only difficulty is exempt only is the wool from the foot.

Really, I do this every day! The only difficulty is to get the wool off from the foot.

No, just kidding! My family loves this magic formula but we used it to burn for Jahrtausenwende to all of our unpopular things in the barbecue grill. I can still remember the time I burned a red plasticine-slug, this species soon then drove me to madness, and no herb in the garden was safe from them. No slugs since then, it did (okay, they were less)! Turn of the millennium, we buried a tonne in the garden, equipped with pictures of us - the best of intentions, I can not remember if I had my picture, our wishes, a newspaper and some change (there really is not that money in this form) . I'm looking forward to dig in 2010 at New Year :-).

No, it was just a joke! My family really love this incantation. We used to use it at the turn of the millennium to BBQ all the negative things that we do not want to carry around with us any more. I still can remember the days when I burned a red plasticine slug. This species really got on my nerves back then because nothing in the garden was safe from them. Since the burning, there has been no more slugs. It worked! (Okay, the number of the slugs just reduced.) We also buried a barrel in the garden at the turn of the millenium. It was filled the pictures of ourselves - I can't really recall, whether I allowed myself to be photographed -, our wishes, a newspaper and some small changes (actually this kind of money doesn't exist any more). I'm looking forward to the dig-up in 2010 for the New Year's Eve. :-)
